Impaired Driving

Last night city police were called to the area of Bell Blvd and North Front in regards to a drunk driver on the road.  City police located the vehicle shortly after the call was placed at College St E and Prince of Wales Dr.  A 36 year old male was arrested and charged for impaired driving and operation of a motor vehicle while his blood alcohol content was over 80mgs.  Further investigation revealed that the accused male’s blood alcohol level was more than 3 times the legal limit.

Road Rage

Early even last night, police were notified of a road rage incident that escalated into one man smashing another driver’s car with a baseball bat. There were no injuries; however there was minor damage to the victim’s vehicle.  City police located the suspect driver as he was pulling into a parking lot on Adam St.  The male who was in possession of the bat was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon and Dangerous Driving and will appear in court next month.
