Belleville Police Service responded to 43 calls for service from the 23rd of February 2019 at 5:00 a.m. to the 24th of February 2019 at 5:00 a.m.
Domestic assault
Belleville, ON – On the 23rd of February at approximately 6:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a domestic in the city’s west end. As a result of the investigation, police are looking for a 36 year-old Belleville male in relation to allegations of assault and mischief. Names are being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
Public intoxication
Belleville, ON – On the 23rd of February at 8:00 p.m., police responded to a call of a disturbance between a male and female in the area of Leland dr. where the male was reportedly following and harassing the female. A 37 year-old Napanee male was arrested on the scene for public intoxication. He was brought to the Belleville Police Service where he was later released to a family member after being issued a provincial offence notice for public intoxication.
Arrest on warrant
Belleville, ON – On the 23rd of February shortly before 10:00 p.m., an officer on patrol located a 35 year-old Quinte West female who was wanted by Quinte West OPP on outstanding arrest warrants. She was taken into custody by the Belleville officer and transported to the Quinte West OPP detachment to be processed.
Impaired driver
Belleville, ON – On the 23rd of February at approximately 9:45 p.m. while conducting a RIDE program on Front St., police arrested a male who registered a fail on the roadside test. He was taken to the Belleville Police Service where he provided two samples of his breath which read over the legal limit. 44 year-old Alberta resident Trevor Ramsay was later released on a promise to appear with a March court date to answer to the charge of driving with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit.
