Belleville, Ont. ? On September 25, 2009 at 2:34 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious male around the Qunite Mall. He was running around the parking lot and then hiding in the garbage dumpster area when vehicles passed. When officers arrived they located the 26 year old male from Campbellford who was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and lodged in the cells at the Belleville Police Service.
Belleville, Ont. - On September 25, 2009, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers with the Napanee Detachment of the O.P.P. checked a female and discovered that she was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the Belleville Police Service. The 17 year old Belleville youth was arrested on the strength of the warrant for Breach of Probation and returned to the Belleville Police Service. She was later released on a Promise to Appear with a Youth Court date of November 3, 2009.
Ammunition Disposal
Belleville Police Service received the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Explosives Disposal Unit in retrieving and disposing of several sticks of dynamite from a Thrulow township property. No charges will be laid. Police are reminding the public if they should locate any unwanted ammunition or firearms to contact their local police service for advice on disposal.
