Belleville Ontario- Theft

 

On the 24th of April at 6:30Pm Belleville Police Service investigated a theft from a North End business. A male and female entered the business, distracted the clerk then stole a Samsung cellular phone valued at $550. The incident was captured by security cameras. Police identified the persons in the video charging a 24yr old female and a 29yr old male from Belleville with theft under $5000. They were released from custody on appearance notices for court 05June 2014. Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crime Stoppers

 

Belleville, Ontario- Assault

 

On the 24th of April at 11:34 Police investigated disturbance in the area of Benjamin Street. A young male and female were walking along the street when a 19yr old male approached the two throwing a coffee into the face of the male and began assaulting him. The male who was being assaulted was assisted by an unknown male who was passing by. The male and female were able to leave the area and retreat to a nearby residence. The 19yr old male then threw a bottle threw the window of the residence. Investigation revealed the 19yr old male and female had been involved in a previous relationship that had ended. Police located the 19 yr. old male from Belleville and charged him with Criminal Harassment, 3 counts of assault, mischief to property and breach of a probation order. He is being held for bail on the 25th of April. Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crime Stoppers
