Robbery
Belleville, Ontario – On February 24th, 2018, at 8:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store in the central part of the city. Three masked males demanded cash and fled on foot. The clerk was not harmed. Officers set up containment as the OPP Canine Unit assisted with a track. The track went across the footbridge to Station Street in the area of the former Trudeau Motors site. Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, Ontario – On February 24th, 2018 police attended at five accident scenes. Four of the accidents were deemed to be minor in nature.
At 11:25 p.m. police attended at the intersection of Sidney Street at West Moira Street in relation to a two-car accident. EMS attended to treat one driver for minor injuries. A 22-year-old Frankford man was charged with “left turn – fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision”. Both cars were towed from the scene.
