Theft- Belleville Ontario

On the 24th of July at 10:00Am Belleville Police Service investigated the theft of a catalytic convertor. Unknown suspects cut the convertor from the vehicle while parked at a Millennium Drive business overnight. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crime Stoppers.

Assault- Belleville Ontario

On the 24th of July at 11:22Am Belleville Police responded to a call for assistance at a North Front Street business. Upon arrival Police spoke with a female who advised she was assaulted. Police located a male and attempted to arrest him. The male fled and was located nearby hiding in a backyard. A 22yr old male from Marlbank is charged with assault causing bodily harm, uttering death threats, assault, choking, escaping custody and 3 counts of breaching a probation order. The male will be held for a bail hearing on July 27 in Belleville Provincial Court. The female was treated at Quinte Health Care for injuries. Disturbance- Belleville, Ontario

On the 25th of July 2015 at 12:00Am Belleville Police responded to a call for a disturbance on Front Street. Upon police arrival the group dispersed. A 23 yr old male from Prince Edward County was located nearby and found to be highly intoxicated. He was arrested, taken to Belleville Police Service for his own protection and released when sober.
