Belleville, Ontario. - On June 25, 2009, at 2:00 a.m., Police responded to a complaint of threats at a North Front Street Drive Thru. The investgation revealed a male in the drive thru exited his vehicle and started threatening other customers in the line up. He was observed pacing around the parking lot and made threats to smash the windshield of one of the vehicles. He is described as male, short, heavy build, wearing a purple shirt, jeans and a ball cap. The suspect had tattoos on both arms. This incident is still under investigation.
Belleville, Ont. - On June 25, 2009, at 5:30 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a warehouse on Wilson Avenue regarding a possible Break and Enter. The officers observed several overturned filing cabinets which were smoldering. Belleville Fire Department was dispatched. A search of the premises led to the discovery of two youths on the second floor. They were both arrested for Break and Enter and Arson. A lighter and a flashlight were seized as evidence. Both youths, ages 12 and 14, were turned over to their respective parents.
No charges will be laid pending successful completion of the Youth Diversion Program.
No apparent damage to the property as the premise is unoccupied at this time.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville, Ont. - On June 25, 2009, at 6:45 p.m., a two car accident occurred at the intersection of Victoria Ave. and Church St. Both drivers suffered minor injuries, and both vehicles were towed from the scene. A 62 year old Belleville woman was charged with failing to stop at a red light.
