Elder Abuse - Theft

Belleville Ontario - A 23-year-old city woman was arrested and charged Wednesday June 24th 2015, following an investigation into a local case of elder abuse.

Members of the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch began investigating after a complaint was received of an elderly resident of a local long term care facility was missing money from their room.  The investigation revealed an employee in the facility had been entering the resident’s room and stealing money.

Twenty – three year old Kelsey Seniuk was charged with the 2 Counts of Theft under $5,000.

She was released from custody on a PTA with an OIC undertaking, and has a first appearance on July 22nd 2015.
