25 March 2009 - Robbery
On the 25th of March 2009 at approximately 4pm a lone male entered the Bank of Nova Scotia located at 305 North Front Street, Belleville. This male, in a loud commanding voice indicated to all staff and customers, ?This is a robbery? and that he was ?Not joking.?
The suspect approached one of the tellers and demanded money. The suspect acted in such a way as to indicate that he had a weapon however none was produced.
The suspect was observed exiting the bank and walking in the direction of North Front Street. It is unknown if the suspect remained on foot or entered a nearby vehicle.
- Male 20-30 yrs
- 5?6? ? 5?10?, 160 ? 200 lbs
- Short bleached blonde hair
- Pale complexion with a day or two?s facial hair growth
- Red ball cap with white lettering on the cap, this cap was a fitted cap (no size adjustment)
- Sliver sunglasses mirrored
- Read and black jacket, unique in the fact that the red is only on the right arm
- Black t-shirt possibly ?Rebok?
- Blue jeans
Members of the Belleville Police Service?s Criminal Investigations Division, Forensic Identification Unit and Emergency Response Team responded to assist at the scene.
The area was checked and several businesses were canvassed with regards to this suspect.
Several employees and customers were present in the bank at the time however none suffered any physical injuries as a result of this Robbery.
Police are continuing their investigation and are requesting the assistance of the public.
