Public Intoxication
Belleville, Ont. ? On May 25, 2009, at approximately 8:00 p.m. a motorist reported a man acting in a strange manner on North Front St. Officers located a 19yr old male who was extremely intoxicated. After a short struggle he was arrested and taken into custody for his own protection. Just before midnight, police received another report of intoxicated male at Bridge and Pinnacle Streets. Police arrested a 47 yr old man for his own protection. Both men were detained in custody and subsequently released with a violation under the Liquor Licence Act.
Teen fight
Belleville, Ont. ? Officers investigating a disturbance in the Charles St area found a teenaged girl who complained she had been attacked by two other girls. After an investigation, two 16yr old girls were taken into custody and charged with assault. They were later released to their parents. There were no injuries.
Operation Look Out?
Belleville, Ont. ? On May 25, 2009, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an alert motorist notified police with her cell phone regarding a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Dundas St. Officers intercepted the vehicle on Front Street and arrested the driver. A 26yr old Belleville man was charged with impaired driving and having over 80mgms of alcohol and later released on a promise to appear.
