Obstruct Police

Belleville, Ont. ? On May 25, 2010, at 4:20 p.m. an officer on patrol checked a vehicle on Cannifton Road. The driver identified himself verbally however was unable to produce identification and was unclear as to who owned the vehicle that he was driving.

Further investigation revealed the driver was not who he was reporting to be but was in fact another male who was wanted for an Assault and Mischief from a previous incident. When police attempted to place the male under arrest he resisted and a short struggle ensued. The suspect was also found to be in possession of a quantity of Marijuana.

Charged with Obstruct Police, Resist Arrest, and Possession of a Controlled Substance is 18 year old Kyle Labarge from the City of Belleville.

Impaired by Drugs

Belleville, Ont. ? On May 25, 2010, at 10:50 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Dundas Street East and Foster Ave. On arrival police observed the vehicle had struck a cement pole. Based on observations at the scene the driver was examined by a Belleville Police Service Drug Recognition Expert and was subsequently arrested with Impaired Driving by Drugs.

Martin Middleton, 35 years old from the City of Kingston was charged with Impaired Driving by Drugs and two counts Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. Middleton was released with a court date set in August 2010.

Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ont. ? On May 26, 2010, at 6:40 a.m. police received a report of stolen vehicle. The vehicle was taken sometime over night from Shaw's Pumps & Plumbing on Maitland Drive. The vehicle is a 2006 Chev Silverado pick-up truck, white in colour. The plate number is ZV6973. The vehicle has a black ladder rack attached to it and also contains a green tool box.
