Domestic Disturbance Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 9:03 pm on May 24, 2014 police were called to investigate a break and enter in progress at a residence on Coleman Street. Upon arrival they found that a male suspect had attended at the location attempting to speak to the resident and when he was ignored he broke into the home through a rear window. An altercation then took place between the resident and the suspect which was broken up when police arrived. It was later determined that the two men had previously been in a relationship. The suspect suffered minor injuries and was arrested at the scene and was transported to the Belleville Police Service.  A 51 year old Belleville man faces charges of Break and Enter and Breach of Probation. He was later released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of June 23, 2014. His name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
