Belleville – On the 24th of May police attended a north end apartment complex with regards to a call of several people fighting, vehicles being damaged and a report of a male involved in the altercation brandishing a knife. Upon arrival, two Belleville males were arrested and taken to The Belleville Police Service while officers continued their investigation and a scenes of crime officer processed the scene and involved vehicles. As a result of the investigation, 34 year old Jonathon Daynard was charged with mischief under $5000 and released on a promise to appear with a June court date. The second male, 23 year old Daniel Woodstock is also being charged with mischief under $5000, two counts of breach of probation, possession of a weapon dangerous and assault with a weapon in relation to the incident. He was also released on a promise to appear with a June court date. There were no serious injuries sustained as a result of the incident.


Harassment and Threats

Belleville – On the 24th of May a 37 year old Trenton male turned himself in to Belleville Police in regards to an investigation of criminal harassment and threats that was initiated earlier in the week. On the 22nd of May, police took a report from a female in relation to being harassed and threatened by her ex-boyfriend. As a result of the investigation, police contacted the male who voluntarily came to the police station. He was released on a Promise to appear on one count of criminal harassment and one count of uttering threats. He was given a June court date to answer to the charges. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
