Impaired Driver in an Accident

Belleville, Ontario On November 24th, 2012, at 11:10 p.m., Police responded to a two-car accident in the intersection of Bridge Street West and Coleman Street. Both vehicles were demolished and it was learned that one of the vehicles had failed to stop for a red light. The driver who disobeyed the red light was arrested at the scene for Impaired Driving. 32 year old Justin Burke of Amherstview was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs. He will appear in court on Dec. 6th, 2012. Neither driver was injured in the accident.

Recovered snowblower

Belleville, Ontario On November 25th, at 1:25 a.m. Police responded to North Front St. at Strachan St. in response to a suspicious male pushing a large snowblower. Police arrived to find an abandoned snowblower on the sidewalk. Anyone missing a snowblower can contact the Belleville Police Service.


Belleville, Ontario On November 25th, 2012, at 2:00 a.m., Police were flagged by a cabdriver who complained that he had been punched in the face by an unruly fare. The fare fled on foot without paying for his cab ride. Officers located the intoxicated male a short distance away and arrested him. The outstanding fare was collected, and the 31 year old Belleville man was charged with public intoxication.
