Hazardous Situations- Belleville ON
The Belleville Police Service responded to several calls last evening regarding the down power lines and down trees. On North Park street at Marsh Drive police responded to a broken hydro pole and was swaying in the wind. Traffic control was conducted until the proper agencies could attend and solve the problem. There were no injuries reported during the storm, but there was property damage.
Assault- Belleville ON
On the 24thof November 2014 at 10:40pm police responded to a residence on Auburn street regarding a disturbance. Investigation revealed a female had been assaulted by a male that she knew as a friend. Police later in the evening arrested a 20 year Belleville man.He will be in court today for a show cause hearing , facing charges of assault, breach of probation and weapons dangerous to the public peace . The victim received minors injuries .
Fail to Remain Accident Belleville ON
On the 24thday of November 2014 at 5:55pm , police responded to a fail to remain vehicle collision involving two vehicles on North Front Street near Pizza Hut. Police learned that a car and truck were travelling southbound on North Front, as a result of road rage. The truck drove into the side of the car forcing it of the roadway, causing the car to collide into a large electrical box. The drive of the car was not seriously injured and the driver of the truck did not stop. Police are hoping to identify the driver of the grey or dark colored Ford pic up.
