CDSA Vehicle Stop and Residential Search Warrant

Belleville, Ontario - On 24 October, 2011, at 2:40 p.m., members of Project Longarm with the assistance of the Belleville Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit and CIB officers executed a vehicle stop at Highway 62 and the 401 in the city of Belleville.

Anadult male from Belleville was found to be in possession of cocaine and as well a quantity of cash.The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation. As a result of the vehicle stop, police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances warrant at a residence on College Street West.

At the residence police seized marijuana, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a replica firearm and a prohibited weapon. In total more than $4000.00 worth of cocaine and marihuana were seized as a result of this investigation.

Shane Dustin Ferguson (27 years) of Belleville has been charged with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking ? Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking ? Marihuana
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (switch blade)

Ferguson is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on 29 December, 2011. This investigation is ongoing.
