Recovered Stolen Vehicle
Belleville, Ontario – On the 23rd of October 2017 in the morning hours, the Belleville Police Service responded to two separate reports of stolen vehicles from residential driveways which occurred overnight in the east end of Belleville.
One of the vehicles had previously been recovered.
The second vehicle bearing Ontario Licence # BPBS 638, a 2012 grey Dodge Caravan with a “Stop Texting” magnet on the back was recovered on the 24th of October with the assistance of a caller who reported the vehicle on their street in the east end of Belleville. The investigation is continuing.
Vehicle into the water at the South George St. Boat Launch
Belleville, Ontario – On the 24th of October 2017 at 11:14pm, the Belleville Police Service received a call advising that a vehicle was in the water at the South George St. Boat Launch. Officers quickly responded and observed that the car was only partially submerged. No one was in the vehicle and there was no one around the area to explain the situation.
Following an investigation, officers located the registered owner who eventually admitted to driving the vehicle when it went into the water. The investigation is continuing.
