Belleville, Ont: On 26 May 2009, at approximately 2:54 a.m., police responded to a suspicious male in the north east industrial area of the city. The male, a 22 year old Belleville man, was located on the property and found to be extremely intoxicated. It was unknown how he got there. The male was unsure of his whereabouts, how he had gotten there or where he had been drinking. As a result of the condition of this male police arrested him for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
Belleville, Ont: On 26 May 2009, at approximately 12: p.m. police received reports of an intoxicated male on Campbell Street. On police arrival police found the male to be extremely intoxicated. He was arrested for his own protection and later released with a violation under the Liquor Licence Act.
Belleville, Ont: On 26 May 2009, at 10:00 a.m., a Harmony Road man reported his Motorcycle stolen. The Motorcycle is a 1998 Kawasaki, Ninja 600, and green in colour with plate 3858B. The motorcycle was taken from his property sometime between 10:00 p.m. the night before to 9:45 this morning. This incident is still under investigation.
Belleville, Ont. - On 26 May 2009, shortly after noon police responded to a domestic dispute that was taking place in the north east end of the City.Police spoke to all parties involved and learned the accused and the victim had been arguing over financial issues. The argument progressed to a physical nature when the accused is alleged to have threatened and choked the victim. The accused, a 54 year old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with one count of Assault, one count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and one count of Utter Threats. The accused was later released with strict conditions of non communication with the victim and will appear in court in June
Belleville, Ont: On 26 May 2009, at 1:30 p.m., Police responded to Walmart regarding two shoplifters. A 31 year old Quinte West male and a 29 year old Quinte West female were arrested and charged with Shoplifting. Both were also found to be in breach of their probation orders and therefore also charged each with one count each of Breach of Probation.
Break & Enter
Belleville, Ont. - On 26 May 2009, at approx 7:00 p.m., police received a report of a Break & Enter that occurred at a west end address. The home owner was visiting friends at a nearby residence and when she later returned home to find someone had gained entry to her home by reaching through a door window and unlocking the door. Taken from the home was cash.
The victim spoke to one of her neighbours and found out that the neighbour had seen the suspect, known to him, entering her residence. The neighbour waited for the male to exit the residence and confronted him. As a result a 15 year old Belleville youth was arrested and charged with one count of Break & Enter, one count of Mischief Under $5000., and three counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
The youths name cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
