Assault – Belleville, Ontario
At approximately 8:10 pm on February 25, 2014
police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a Sidney Street
residence. The investigation revealed that a male and female couple had been
arguing and the female had struck the male in the face causing minor injuries.
She was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service. A 26 year
old woman from Belleville was charged with one count of assault. She was
released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of March 17, 2014. Her name
will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Assault – Belleville, Ontario
At approximately 9:12 pm on February 25, 2014
police were called to an Elgin Street residence to investigate a report of an
assault. The victim reported that she was walking westbound on College Street
West near Heartland Drive at about 8:15 pm when she was approached from behind
by three suspects who knocked her to the ground and repeatedly punched and
kicked her. The only description of the suspects provided was that one was a
female dressed entirely in black and the other two were similarly dressed. They
were last seen fleeing northbound on foot on Gilbert Street. The victim
sustained minor injuries and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with any
information is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.

Vehicle Collision– Belleville, Ontario
The Belleville Police Service would like to
thank the public for their assistance with the investigation into the hit and
run accident which occurred on February 23, 2014 at the Hosiers Car Wash on
College Street East at Cannifton Road. Several callers provided information to
police and the information led to the truck being stopped by the O.P.P. on Highway
401. The driver of the truck was identified and he returned to Belleville with
the tractor and trailer in question and is co-operating with the investigation.
The investigation is continuing and no charges have been laid as of this time.
