Belleville Police Services website undergoes a digital makeover.
The Belleville Police Services website, which hasn’t had been updated since 2011, went live this week with its updated version. A committee of Officers and Civilian staff over saw the revamp and spent months consulting with members of the public, and experts on not only how the site should look and perform, but what features they wanted to see included in the new design.
Features of the new site include an enhanced online reporting page where members of the public can report incidents to police that do not require an officer to attend the scene such as minor thefts.
Other new features include an easy to navigate format as well as access to the Police Services Board meetings schedule and reports to the board.
Recruiting information will also be featured on the site with detailed descriptions of available opportunities in both civilian and sworn member divisions.
We wish to remind the public that the website is not monitored for emergencies, members of the public who are in need of emergency assistance will still need to call 911.
