Belleville Police Service responded to 50 calls for service from the 25th of July 2019 at 5:00 a.m. to the 26th of July 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario – On the 25th of July police received a report of a suspected impaired driver leaving an east end fast food establishment. The vehicle in question was stopped a short time later on Farley Ave and police arrested the 53 year-old male driver for impaired driving. Belleville resident Keith Cunningham was taken to The Belleville Police Service where he provided samples of his breath that read almost twice the legal limit. He was released on a promise to appear with a court date of August 15th to answer to the charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit.

Committal Warrant/Drugs

Belleville, Ontario – On the 26th of July shortly before 2:00 am, as a result of a traffic stop, police arrested a 28 year-old Belleville female for a committal warrant in relation to a surety revoke. She was transported to The Belleville Police Service where a search resulted in a quantity of narcotics. She is being held in custody to be brought before a Justice of the Peace in relation to both the committal warrant and the new charge of possession of a controlled substance.
