Intoxicated Person(s)

Belleville, Ontario – On June 22nd, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. officers attended on Front Street in relation to an intoxicated male who was harassing pedestrians. A 30-year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and issued a provincial offence notice.

On June 22nd, 2017, at 6:56 p.m. officers attended in the downtown municipal parking lot as male was passed out on a bench. A 37-year old Belleville man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was charged accordingly.

Traffic Enforcement

Belleville, Ontario – On June 22nd, 2017 at 2:54 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Maple Street. A 50-year old Stirling man was charged with driving while under suspension. He will appear in Traffic court on July 17th. The officer learned that the driver had been stopped by the OPP on the 401 earlier in the same day and charged with driving while under suspension.

On June 22nd, 2017 at 3:53 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Sidney St. as the car had improper plates on it. A further check revealed that 29-year old Belleville man was a suspended driver. He was charged with both offences and will appear in Traffic court on July 17th.

On June 22nd, 2017, 4:33 p.m. a traffic stop on Sidney Street led to a charge of driving while under suspension for a 22-year old Belleville man. He will appear in Traffic court on July 17th.

On June 22nd, 2017, at 7:17 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Victoria Ave.  The 55-year old Belleville man was charged with driving while under suspension and having an expired valtag. The 47-year old owner of the car was charged with permitting operation of a motor vehicle without insurance. Both will appear in in Traffic court on July 24th, 2017.
