Bicycle theft

Belleville, ONT – On June 25th 2019 at 7:36 a.m. police responded to a reported theft of a bicycle in the west end of the city.  The theft occurred during the night time hours.  A smaller child’s bicycle was left in place of the stolen one, described as a black full-suspension bicycle.   An investigation is continuing.  Police are asking anyone who may have information about this to please contact investigating officer Cst. Damage and theft from motor vehicle

 

Belleville, ONT – On June 25th 2019 at 8:15 a.m. police were called to a Farnham Road residence for a report of a window smashed on a parked motor vehicle during the night.  The passenger window on the complainant’s vehicle was smashed, and a black gym bag containing running shoes and gym clothing was stolen.  The investigation is continuing.  Police are asking anyone with information about who may be responsible for this to please contact investigating officer Cst. Boat theft

Belleville, ONT – On June 25th 2019 at 9:26 a.m. police responded to a Dundas Street West waterfront location for a reported theft of an aluminum boat.  The boat is 14 feet in length and was motorless.  It is believed this theft occurred during the previous 24-hour period.  The investigation is continuing.  Police are asking anyone with information on who may be responsible for this theft to please contact investigating officer Cst. Theft from trailer

 

Belleville, ONT – On June 25th 2019 at 4:09 p.m. city police were called to investigate a break, enter and theft from a trailer in the Bell Boulevard and North Front Street area.  It is believed the trailer was broken into during the night hours.  An unknown quantity of items was stolen.  One piece of property was seized as evidence at this location for further examination. Young person arrested and charged

Belleville, ONT – In the early morning of June 26th 2019 at 12:58 a.m. police were called to an east end residence for a report of two males entering vehicles.  As police were being contacted, both males were observed running toward the area of Queen Street and Chatham Street.  An investigation resulted in police arresting one 17-year old male suspect in the area and charging him with two counts of theft – under $5,000.00.  The male cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  He has been released on a promise-to-appear in court at a later date.  Police are still investigating the identity of the second involved male.  Anyone who may have information about this is asked to please contact investigating officer Cst.
