The Belleville Police Service and family members of Calvin VANNESS are urging the public to come forward with information that will lead to the location of the missing man.
At a press conference held today at headquarters four family members, Diane Jarvis, Yvonne English, Cheryl Styan (daughters of the missing man) and Travis Vanness (son of the missing man) made an emotional plea for information regarding his whereabouts.
Calvin VANNESS, age 66, of
He is described as male, white, 5?8?, 180lbs, with short brown hair and is partially bald and wears eyeglasses. It is not known what he was wearing.
The Belleville Police Service launched an investigation shortly after the family reported the disappearance. Two detectives from the Belleville Criminal Investigations Division were assigned to the case.
On April 1, 2008, Mr. Vanness?s vehicle was located in the Car-pool Parking lot at Highway 38 and the 401. The vehicle is a 2004; four door grey, Pontiac Grand Prix, Licence # AWMR984. The vehicle is unique in that it has black and red decals (FLAMES) along both sides and the front of the vehicle.
The Belleville Police Service has offered a $10,000 reward for information regarding the person(s) responsible for the disappearance of Calvin VANNESS.
