Arrest on warrants

Belleville Ont, At 10:00 hrs. officers attended an address on Dundas Street East in regards to a male loitering in the area. When officers arrived the male ran away. He was caught after a brief foot pursuit. A further investigation indicated that the 37 year old male was from Toronto and was wanted on outstanding warrants. He was transported back to Toronto to attend court.

Rental Scam

Belleville Ont, police would like to warn the community about a rental scam. Scammers are listing rental properties which are either occupied or for sale. They take the deposit and disappear. This scam is common on popular websites. If possible, make sure you go to the location in person to ascertain the validity of the listing.
