Arson(s)
Belleville, Ont. ? On 26 September 2009, at approximately 3:05 a.m., police were requested by Belleville Fire Department to attend a Union Street address, regarding a vehicle fire. Upon arrival police observed, a 2004 Hyundai Santé Fe had severe fire damage.
Belleville, Ont. ? On 26 September 2009,approximately 5:32 a.m., police were dispatched to Union Street regarding another vehicle fire. Police arrived to find a 2002 Dodge Caravan had sustained considerable fire damage. Belleville Fire Department had extinguished the fire at the time of police arrival.
The investigation revealed both fires had been intentionally set. A 17 year old Belleville youth was arrested a short time later within the immediate area. He was charged with two counts of Arson and was held for a bail hearing. The youth cannot be named due to the provisions within the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Domestic Assault
Belleville, Ont. ? On 26 September 2009, at approximately 8:12 p.m., police were called to a west end address regarding a domestic dispute. After investigating further it was alleged a 31 year old Belleville female had thrown a beer bottle at a male striking him on the head. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspect was arrested and charged with one count of Assault with a Weapon. She was held for a Bail hearing.
Bail Violation
Belleville, Ont. ? On 26 September 2009, at approximately 7:45 p.m., police were in the west end of Belleville investigating another incident when they observed an unrelated male in the immediate area. A check revealed this male was on a recognizance release with conditions not to be away from the residence without a surety. The male was found to in breach of this condition. A 19 year old Belleville male was charged with once count of Fail to Comply of Recognizance.
