Belleville, Ontario On October 26, 2012 at 7:54 am, police responded to a residence on Bleecker Avenue in regards to a mischief. Sometime overnight, the complainant's vehicle was spray painted and the rear tires of the vehicle slashed. This investigation is continuing.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario On October 26, 2012 at 8:58 pm, police responded to a business on Dundas Street West as a vehicle had been driven through the front window. The business sustained extensive damage to the front window, exterior storage area, and interior counter. The driver, a 55 year old female from Belleville, did not sustain any injuries nor did anyone in the business. There were no charges laid in this incident due to it being on private property.


Belleville, Ontario On October 26, 2012 from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am, Belleville police conducted a RIDE program. RIDE team members checked 368 vehicles and as a result, two persons were charged with Refusal to provide a breath sample. Brandon Dafoe, 23 years old, was charged with fail to provide breath sample Sec. 254(5) and was released with a court date of 15 November 2012. A second male from Quebec, Shahryar MOHAMMADPOUR, 44 years of age, was also charged with Refusal and released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in November.


Belleville, Ontario On October 27, 2012 at 0016 am, police responded to a residence on Pinnacle Street in regards to a robbery. The victim had been walking home when he was approached by two males asking him for a cigarette. The victim gave the two males cigarettes and then continued to walk home. Shortly after entering his apartment, the victim heard a knock at his door. When he opened the door, he observed the same two males again. One of the males asked him for his wallet and when he refused, one of the males told the victim he was being robbed and tried to enter his apartment. The door was kicked in and one of the male suspects sprayed pepper spray into the residence. Both of the suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. One of the male suspects is described as dark skinned with a thin build and black curly hair while the other male suspect was described as Caucasian and approximately 6 ft 1 inch tall. One of the occupants of the victim's residence was treated at the hospital for the effects of the pepper spray and later released.

Shortly thereafter, on October 27, 2012 at 0206 am, police responded to William Street in regards to two males being pepper sprayed and assaulted by four male suspects. On arrival, police observed four males in the area matching the description. The male suspects attempted to flee on foot but one male was arrested at the scene. Containment was set up and the OPP K-9 and ERT responded and searched the area with negative results. As a result of police investigation, an 18 year old Belleville male is charged with Robbery and Assault with a Weapon and is being held for a show cause hearing. Both male victims were taken to hospital and are being treated for minor injuries.
