Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario - On the 27th of June 2009 at 3:56pm, Police were called to a west end apartment to investigate a Break and Enter. Further investigation led police to arrest and charge a 22 year old Belleville male with domestic related charges of Unlawfully in a Dwelling, Mischief Under $5000, Theft Under $5000, and Uttering Threats. He was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge Undertaking with Conditions with a court date in August 2009.
Police are investigating a Break and Enter that occurred at a business overnight on College Street East.
Police are also investigating a Break and Enter that occurred at a residence on Prince of Wales Drive. It appears that unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and removed two wallets and stole a bicycle as well.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at 1:30pm Police were called to a residence on Moira Street East in relation to a possible Bail Violation. The Surety elected to revoke the bail and as a result, a warrant has been issued for a 36 year old Belleville man, Robert Gunsolus.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 2:20am, Police were called to a location at the rear of Front Street. Initial reports to Police indicated that a male had been assaulted and had received lacerations to his face. He was tended to by EMS and transported to BGH where he was to be further assessed. At this point, the male was still unruly and uncooperative with BGH staff. He was subsequently released from hospital and the 31 year old Belleville male was taken into custody for being intoxicated in a Public Place.
A short time later at approximately 3:30 am, Police were called to a residence on Tracey Park Drive for a disturbance involving two females. As a result, a 25 year old Belleville woman was arrested for being Intoxicated in a Public Place and also taken into custody.
At approximately 3:34 am, Police were called to attend at Hwy 37 near Black Diamond Rd in response to a a male laying on the side of the road, possibly struck by a vehicle. Police locate and spoke with a 37 year old Cobourg male who was heavily intoxicated and he was having great difficulty staying awake while being spoken to by EMS and police. He indicated that he was attempting to hitchhike to Tweed and had made it as far as the Hwy 37 exit at the 401 Hwy. He was taken into custody for his own protection and for being Intoxicated in a Public Place.
At approximately 7:00 am, Police found an intoxicated young male passed out on sidewalk on Victoria Avenue. He was also arrested for his own protection and taken into custody. The 13 year old Belleville boy was turned over to the custody of his parents.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 12:05 am, Police were called to a local adult entertainment bar on Front Street in relation to a complaint of Mischief. It appears a windshield had been smashed out of a vehicle parked in the lot. No suspects at this time.
In a similar incident just down the street near Century Place, another vehicle had a side mirror smashed / punched from the vehicle.
Obstruct Police/ Personation
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 11:36pm Police were called to a central East Hill location. During the investigation at the residence, a male person identified himself to police as someone else. As a result, Police arrested and charged a 27 year old male from Ottawa on one count of Personation and one count of Obstructing Police. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in court in August 2009.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 1:45 pm Police were called to a large box retail store for three adult females that had been apprehended by store security for shoplifting. Officers arrived on scene, continued the arrest and investigation. As a result, a 20 year old Picton woman, a 47 year old Bloomfield woman and a 50 year old Belleville woman were all charged with one count of Theft Under $5000.00. All have been issued a court date in July 2009.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 1:30pm Police were called to an east end residence to investigate ongoing Domestic related Harassment. As a result of the investigation, a 28 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with one count of Uttering Threats of Death or Bodily Harm. He was later released on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court in August 2009.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 1:00am, Police stopped a vehicle on North Front Street near Bell Blvd. As a result, the driver was charged with being in possession of a Radar Detector and was charged accordingly.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 1:40am while conducting a RIDE check in the area of North Front St, Police observed a vehicle attempting to go around the RIDE program. Police stopped the vehicle and investigation determined the driver had been drinking. The driver, a 44 year old Belleville man, blew a ?Warn? on an Approved Screening Device and was a result was issued a 3 day driving suspension. His driver?s license was seized and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 6:50pm, Police stopped a vehicle on 37 Hwy for travelling at excessive speeds. Investigation revealed that a 40 year old Belleville woman was taking the vehicle for a test drive from a local used car dealership. The woman was charged with Stunt Driving, her license was seized and the vehicle was also seized. She was issued a court date in August of 2009.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 27th of June 2009 at approximately 7:15pm, a vehicle passed a Police car at a higher rate of speed. As a result, the vehicle was stopped and investigation revealed that the driver, a 23 year old Stirling woman had been consuming alcohol prior to driving the motor vehicle on a highway. The driver blew a ?Fail? on an Approved Screening Device. She was issued a 3 day suspension driver?s license suspension and a Provincial Offences Notice for Speeding and her vehicle towed.
