Break & Enter(s)

Belleville, Ontario ? On May 26, 2011, at 10:45 p.m. police responded to an alarm at a Bell Blvd business. On arrival police located a broken window on the south east side of the building. A search of the building proved negative however it was determined suspects had exited the building through a south west door. The Belleville Police Canine Unit assisted however was unsuccessful in locating the suspects. A number of watches were taken as a result of this Break & Enter.

Police responded to another Break & Enter on May 26th at 10:45 a.m. to a business on William Street. Suspect entered the building sometime overnight from the 25th to the 26th. Entry was gained through a south west basement window and suspects took an Acer Laptop.

Both of these incidents are currently under investigation.

Domestic Assault

Belleville, Ontario ? On May 26, 2011, 6:30 p.m. police responded to a domestic assault at an east end home. The victim and the accused had been involved in a dispute and as a result the victim locked himself in a room in the house. The accused forced her way through the door and struck the victim on the face several times.

A 45 year old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with one count each of Assault and Mischief. She was held in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing set for May 27th. The name of the accused will not be released as to protect the identity of the victim in this incident.
