The Belleville Police Service responded to 63 calls for service between May 26th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and May 27th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Intoxicated persons

Belleville, Ontario – On May 26th, 2019, at 4:36 a.m. officers responded to a report of an intoxicated female banging on the windows of a residence on Wellington Cres. Police located a 53 year old Belleville female who was placed under arrest for Being Intoxicated In a Public Place. She was held at the Belleville Police Service until sober and released on a Provincial Offences Notice.

Belleville, Ontario - On May 26th, 2019, at 9:20 p.m. officers attended the area of Bridge Street East regarding an intoxicated male who was having trouble walking on his own. Police located a 27 year old Belleville man who was highly intoxicated. He was arrested by Police for Being Intoxicated In a Public Place and was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was held until sober and released on a Provincial Offences Notice.

 

Belleville, Ontario - On May 27th, 2019, at 12:10 a.m. police attended a business on North Front Street regarding an unwanted male. The 33 year old Belleville male was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the establishment. Initially, the male left the establishment upon Police request yet refused to leave the premises. Subsequently, the male was arrested for Being Intoxicated In a Public Place and held at the Belleville Police Service until sober. He was released on a Provincial Offences Notice.

 

Suspended Driver

Belleville, Ontario – On the 26th of May, 2019, at 10:30 p.m. police were patrolling the area of Wallbridge Cres. when they observed a vehicle  attempt to avoid detection by driving off of the main road, through parking lots, to avoid the Police cruiser. A traffic stop was initiated and through investigation it was revealed that the 24 year old Belleville male driver was a suspended driver. He was charged with Driving While Under Suspension and given a court date in June to face the charges.
