Belleville, Ontario - On November 27, 2009, at 7:30 p.m., officers with the Belleville Police Service RIDE team responded to a report of an erratic driver in the Cannifton Road and College Street East area. The vehicle was located and stopped nearby and the female driver was arrested for Impaired Driving. She was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she provided samples of her breath which registered a fail on the breathalyzer. A 36 year old Belleville woman was charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80MG of Alcohol Per 100ML of Blood. She was released from custody on a Promise to Appear.
Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking
Belleville, Ontario - On November 27, 2009, at 9:45 p.m., officers were conducting a RIDE checkpoint on Station Street when a vehicle tried to evade the officers. After a short foot chase, the driver was arrested nearby for Impaired Driving. On arrest a quantity of Cocaine was located on his person and he was transported to the Belleville Police Service. He subsequently blew a warn on the breathalyzer and received a three day licence suspension. The 23 year old Belleville man was also charged with Possession for the purpose of Trafficking and released on a Promise to Appear.
