Belleville, Ontario – On November 26th, 2013 police responded to 3 minor accidents before the storm. Two of the accidents were minor in nature. The third occurred at 2:43 p.m. at the intersection of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road and West Moira Street. Two vehicles had sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene. No one was injured, and there were no charges.

Once the storm hit, four single-vehicle accidents were reported:

At 7:03 p.m. an eastbound car on Blessington Road lost control and struck a guard rail before ending up in the ditch. The car had to be towed, and there was damage to the guard rail. No one was injured, and there were no charges.

At 8:17 p.m. a northbound car on Sidney Street lost control north of Mailtand Drive and ended up crashing in the ditch. The motorist was trapped in the vehicle and Belleville Fire Department attended to free the individual. The driver was treated at the scene by EMS for minor injuries. The car was towed from the scene. There were no charges.

At 10:20 p.m. a southbound car on Sidney Street lost control at Cloverleaf Drive. The car left the roadway and struck a pole. The car had to be towed from the scene. No one was injured, and there were no charges. The pole was not damaged.

At 2:57 a.m. (November 27th) a northbound truck with a plow lost control on Hwy 62 at Maitland Drive. It struck a pole as well as a 911 sign on a nearby business. It also struck a mailbox on this property. No one was injured, and there were no charges.

Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario –On April 24th, 2013, at 10:01 p.m. police received several complaints from motorists about an impaired driver in the area of the Bay Bridge. The vehicle was located on Dundas Street, and a 20 year old Prince Edward County woman was arrested for Impaired Driving. She will appear in Court on May 9th, 2013.

Break and enter

Belleville, Ontario –On April 17th, 2013 at 5:15 p.m., police attended at a Henry Street residence in relation to a complaint of a break and enter. Unknown person(s) entered the residence between 8:00 a.m. on April 16th and 5:00 p.m. on April 17th. Jewelry was taken as well as an oak Grandfather clock. Also taken was a stained glass window. Any information on this break and enter can be forwarded to the Belleville Police Service or Crimestoppers.
