Traffic Enforcement


Belleville Ont- On the 26th of October 2017 members of Belleville Police Service conducted increased traffic enforcement on the secondary roads throughout the day. Over 30 provincial offences notices were issued to motorists for speeding alone. Highlights include an officer stopped a 59yr old male on Casey Road travelling at 109km/h in the posted 60 zone. He was issued an offence notice totaling $359 for the offence. Officers further focused on Old Highway 2 where over 20 motorists were stopped for driving 50% over the posted 60 km/h speed limit. A 31yr old male was stopped for speeding and further was issued a 3 day licence suspension for registering a “warn” reading on a roadside device. Police will continue stepped up traffic enforcement efforts to continue making Belleville’s roads safe.
