Assault/ Criminal Harassment/ Forcible Confinement

Belleville, Ontario ? On 26 September, 2011 at 7:11 p.m., police began an investigation as a result of two complainants attending Belleville Police Service.

It was reported that on 23 September, 2011 that both parties were separately called to attend at a residence on St Paul Street. While at the residence one complainant reported that they were assaulted and the other complainant reported that they were not allowed to leave. Following this incident the complainants reported receiving a multitude of unwanted text messages.

A 59 year old Belleville man has been charged with one count of Assault, one count of Forcible Confinement and two counts of Criminal Harassment. This man is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on 17 October, 2011.

Assault Cause Bodily Harm/ Assault with a Weapon

Belleville, Ontario ? On 27 September, 2011 at 3 minutes after midnight, police attended on Front Street in response to a 911 call for a disturbance involving 2 males.

Investigation revealed that one of the allegedly struck another male with an air gun. The male that was struck was taken to BGH for treatment and later released for a non life threatening injury.

A 24 year old Belleville male has been arrested for one count each of Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon and Possession of Schedule II (marihuana) Controlled Substance. This male will appear in Provincial court today at 1:00 p.m. for a bail hearing.
