Belleville, Ontario On May 27th, 2013, at 8:25 p.m., police attended at a pet store in the north end in relation to a shoplifter.  A male had left the store with a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise including a bird cage, dog food and bedding.  The shopping cart was located a short distance away from the store with all of the items accounted for.  The investigation is continuing into the identity of the shoplifter.  He is described as:


-white male, late 40s early 50s,  59,  with dark gray hair

-wearing blue jeans, purple striped dress shirt, and silver & orange Nike running shoes

Belleville, Ontario On May 27th, 2013, police responded to five accidents throughout the City.  Two accidents resulted in minor injuries as two drivers were treated at Quinte Health Care and released.
