BREAK AND ENTER

Belleville, Ont ? On April 28, 2009, at 1:30am, Police responded to a Break and Enter in progress at approximately in the City?s north end. The home owner advised that someone was attempting to gain entry to her back door. The homeowner left the residence as police arrived. Police entered the residence and located an extremely intoxicated male passed out naked on a bed. The male was taken into custody without incident. A 20 yr old Belleville man was charged with Trespass by Night and Breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody for a bail hearing today.

 

BAIL VIOLATION

Belleville, Ont ? On April 28, 2009, at approximately 12:30am, police located a male acting suspiciously in the City?s west hill area. The male had been drinking and was found to be on conditions not to consume alcohol as a condition of a previous release on another Criminal matter. A 26 yr old Belleville man was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance and held for a bail hearing today.

 

Traffic Complaints

As the weather gets warmer the Belleville Police are responding to more and more complaints regarding ATV?s, mini motor bikes and scooters on the city streets. Police would like to remind the public that these recreational vehicles are not allowed on City streets or public places such as parks. Citizens can only ride mini bikes and motor powered scooters on private property.
