Found Human Remains ? Fetus

Belleville, Ontario ? On Thursday April 22, 2010, police responded to the waste water treatment facility in the City of Belleville regarding the finding of the remains of an apparent fetus. As a result the remains were sent to the Centre for Forensic Sciences in Toronto for an autopsy and it was determined this was the result of a mid trimester miscarriage.

Further investigation revealed this incident occurred as a result of a tragic medical event and no further police investigation is required. No further information will be released as to protect the privacy of the family involved in this incident.

Assault (Charges)

Belleville, Ontario - On April 27, 2010, police responded to a disturbance in the Albion Street area. The initial investigation determined a male and female had an ongoing dispute over property. On this date the male was present at this location and was attempting to retrieve his personal property. The victim was present with the male at the time and as a result was assaulted by two females. Charged with one count each of Assault is Kimberley BAILEY 37 years old and Sierria BAILEY 20 years old both from the City of Belleville. Both were released with a court date set in June 2010.

Break & Enter

Belleville, Ontario - On April 28, 2010, at 1:30 a.m., police were called to a Bleecker Ave, residence for a possible Break & Enter in progress. On arrival police found the front door of the residence wide open. The home owner was present and stated that a bit earlier someone had knocked on her front door and rang her door bell several times. She did not respond to this as she did not know who it was. The suspect then used a rock and smashed the front door window. The suspect reached inside the window and unlocked the door to gain entry to the home. The homeowner fled to the upstairs area of the home and phoned police. The suspect removed a lap top that was sitting in the living room before fleeing from the residence. Police searched the area with negative results. This Break & Enter is currently under investigation.

Mischief (Charges)

Belleville, Ontario - On April 28, 2010, at 12:01 a.m., police received a report of male who had been seen smashing a window at Jumbo Video on North front Street. The suspect was last seen running in the area of the Pioneer Gas Bar on North Front Street. Police were given a description of the suspect and began searching the area. Police arrested and charged Jeremy KELLAR, 24 years old from the Village of Tweed. KELLAR was charged with once count of Mischief and was released with a court date in April 2010.

Possession of Stolen Property (Charges)

Belleville, Ontario - On April 15, 2010, a Belleville resident reported to police that her front and rear licence plates had been stolen from her vehicle approximately six months ago. She did not report this to police at the time but had recently received a ticket that came back to her old plates. As a result she reported this to police on April 15th.

On April 27, 2010, at 5:30 p.m., an officer on patrol checked a vehicle in the east end of Belleville. It was discovered the plates on this vehicle were the same that had been reported stolen. The driver, Stacy LITTLE, 32 years old from the City of Belleville, was charged with one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime as well as a number of Highway Traffic Act violations. She was released with a court date set in April 2010.

Theft & Possession (Charges)

Belleville, Ontario - On April 28, 2010, at 4:25 a.m., police responded to a suspicious person seen in the area of Gordon Street. This person was seen looking into vehicles in the neighbourhood. The suspect fled on police arrival however was apprehended by police within minutes.

Charged with one count each of Possession of Stolen Property, Prowl by Night, Possession of Break in Instruments and two counts of Theft is Brian MORRISON, 25 years old from the City of Belleville. Morrison was released with a court date in June. This incident is still under investigation.
