Break and Enter


Belleville, Ontario On April 27th, 2014, at 9:14 a.m. police responded to an alarm call at Habitat for Humanity on Bell Blvd.  An officer observed broken glass by the front door, and also observed a vehicle leaving the scene. This vehicle was stopped and a 40 year old Belleville man was arrested for break and enter. He was also charged with possession of burglary tools and two counts of possession of stolen property.  He will appear in court on May 29th, 2014.




Accident - rollover


Belleville, Ontario On April 27th, 2014, at 8:05 p.m. multiple 911 calls were received about a van on its roof on Victoria Ave. at Golfdale Rd. The van also struck a hydro pole causing the pole to splinter.  The driver, who was the lone occupant, was treated at the scene by EMS for minor injuries.  Victoria Avenue was closed for an hour to allow Veridian crews to repair the pole.  Public work crews cleaned the debris off of the roadway. The van was demolished and was towed from the scene.  A 58 year old Tweed man was charged with careless driving.
