Drug Warrant

Belleville, Ontario – On April 27th, 2017, at 4:45 p.m. members of the Belleville Police Service Intelligence/Street Crime Unit assisted by the Belleville Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a west hill residence. A lone male adult was arrested but was later released unconditionally.

As a result of the search warrant police seized cocaine, digital scales, fortification equipment and drug paraphernalia. The investigation is continuing.

Break and Enter(s)

Belleville, Ontario – On April 27th, 2017, at 4:50 p.m. police attended at a residence on Purdy Street in relation to a break and enter. It was learned that a female had entered the home around 4:15 p.m.  The female left the area on a bicycle. Taken was an Asus laptop and a quantity of jewelry.

Belleville Police issued a warrant for the arrest of April Lawes-Bell, 29 years-old, of Belleville for a similar break and enter that occurred on April 24th at a Selena Drive residence. The charges include break, enter and theft and two counts of breach of probation. Taken in the break-in was a large quantity of jewelry.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario – On April 27th, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. police attended on Sidney Street at Millennium Parkway in relation to a three-car accident. A 40-year-old Kaladar man was charged with careless driving. There were no reported injuries.

Intoxicated Person

Belleville, Ontario – On April 27th, 2017, at 8:11 p.m. police attended on North Park Street in relation to an intoxicated male. A caller advised that the male was attempting to ride his bicycle. The 64-year old Belleville man was located and arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a provincial offence notice.
