Impaired Driving

Belleville, Ontario - On December,  27, 2010 at approximately 4:42 p.m. police observed a dark Pontiac motor vehicle travelling eastbound on Dundas St West at a high rate of speed. As the officer approached this vehicle he observed it passing through the intersection of Dundas and Front St almost hitting the concrete island in the middle of the road. This vehicle then performed a hard left turn onto Pinnacle St heading northbound. The vehicle then turned right onto Bridge St heading east and then made a subsequent right turn travelling southbound onto Church St. Approaching Dundas St. Police cruisers were used to block in the suspect vehicle just north of Dundas St East.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs, and Drive While Dsqualified. Charged is David Johnson, 29 years, of Belleville. Johnson was released on a Promise to Appear and to attend court on of January 20, 2011 for his first appearance.

FRAUD

Belleville, Ont. ? On 28 December, 2010 at 4:33pm police attended at the Quinte Mall in response to a report of 2 suspicious females attempting to use questionable credit cards. Upon arrival officers located the two females and through investigation found a number of stolen credit cards which the two females had used at various locations at the Quinte Mall. Officers recovered property with an approximate value of $6,900.00. Charged are: Sheetal John Jerry, 20years from Mississauga with Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime X 5 and Possession of Stolen Credit Cards X 4. Kelly Mikolovich, 42 years from Toronto, with Fraud X 3, Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime X 5, Possession of Stolen Credit Card X 4, Utter Forged Document X 3, Use Stolen Credit Card X 4 and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Both are to appear in court in February 2011.
