Police Assistance

Belleville, Ontario - On the 28th of July 2009 at approximately 8:30pm, Police were called to the area of North Front Street and College Street in response to reports of a cyclist that had been struck by a vehicle. Officers and EMS Ambulance attended the scene and discovered that an intoxicated man was trying to ride his bicycle, had simply lost his balance and fell off, striking his head on the pavement.  The 34yr old man was taken to BGH and later released.


Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario - On the 29th of July 2009 at approximately 2:00 am, a  Bridge Street West resident walked into the police station report that his residence had been broken into by unknown suspects while he had been away.  The break in is believed to have occurred sometime within the last few days and it resulted in numerous household items being stolen, including his television, computer and mattress. The victim walked to the station to report the incident as the suspects also had stolen his telephone.  The incident is still under investigation.

Motor Vehicle Collision Hit & Run

Belleville, Ontario - On the 29th of July 2009 at approximately 4:00am, Police were called to a Station St residence upon receiving reports that a vehicle had lost control and struck the residence causing damage to the foundation.  The unknown vehicle then fled the scene and was last observed southbound on Bleecker Avenue.  This inciden is still under investigation.
