Belleville, Ontario ? On the 28th of June 2008 at approximately 1:10 am Police stopped a vehicle for speeding. Subsequent investigation revealed that the male driver had been consuming alcohol prior to driving. The driver blew a ?Warn? on an Approved Screening Device resulting in a 3 day driving suspension. His license was seized and his vehicle towed from the scene. He was also issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Speeding.
A short time later at approximately 2:00am, Police stopped another vehicle that was observed to be driving aggressively. The male driver was arrested for Impaired Driving. The driver, a 37 year old Belleville man, provided samples just under the 100 mg range and was issued a 3 Day Driving Suspension, as well as being charged with Stunt Driving and issued a 7 Day vehicle impoundment.
Shortly thereafter at 2:45 am, Police stopped another vehicle on North Park Street. Investigation revealed that the driver had been consuming alcohol and subsequently blew a ?Fail? on the Approved Screening Device. The drive was then arrested for ?Over 80 Mgs?. A 23 year old Belleville man was charged with ?Over 80Mgs? and released on a Promise to Appear. He is scheduled to appear in court in August 2009. The vehicle he was driving was towed from the scene.
