Accidents
Belleville, Ontario – On June 27th, 2016, at 2:24 p.m. police attended on Dundas Street East at Front Street in relation to an accident involving a school bus. No one was injured in this accident, and the investigation is continuing.
On June 27th, 2016, at 6:21 p.m. police attended on Bridge Street east at Ann Street in relation to a two-car accident. Two occupants of the cars suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital by EMS. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. A 17 year old driver was charged with ‘start from a stopped position – not in safety’.
Intoxicated male
Belleville, Ontario – On June 27th, 2016, at 6:02 p.m. a woman called police from Palmer Road to advise that a naked male had wandered into her apartment. She added that he was talking himself and not making any sense. Police located the male wandering in the stairwell of the building. The 42 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was charged with being intoxicated in a common area and issued a Provincial Offence Notice.
Arrest on Warrant
Belleville, Ontario – On June 27th, 2016, at 11:02 p.m. officers checked a male on Dundas Street East at Church Street. The 27 year old Belleville man was wanted on outstanding warrants held by Bancroft OPP. The male was arrested and turned over to the OPP.
