Domestic ? Belleville, Ont.

At approximately 10:45 am on May 27th police were called to investigate a report of a domestic assault which had occurred the previous night at a Baldwin Street address. The victim attended at the Belleville General Hospital after being treated for minor injuries sustained when she was struck repeatedly with a wooden block used to store knives. She was later released from hospital and the suspect turned himself in to police after learning that he was being sought. A 38 year old Belleville man faces charges of Assault and Breach of Undertaking. He was held for a Show Cause Hearing on May 28th. His name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.

Robbery ? Belleville, Ont.

At approximately 3:04 pm on May 27th officers were called to a Dundas Street East business to investigate a report that a man exiting the store had been robbed by two youths who had tried to use force to pull his recently purchased items away from him. He was not injured and there were no weapons used during the incident. Officers checked the area and then engaged in a foot pursuit with two males suspects located nearby. One was arrested in the Herchimer Ave / Rosewood Ave. area and the other escaped from that area on foot. An 18 year old Belleville man faces charges of Robbery and Breach of Probation. He has been held for a Show Cause Hearing on May 28th. The male who escaped is still being sought. He is described as being approximately 17 years old, 5'10? tall, medium build wearing a white t-shirt. The investigation is continuing.

Break and Enter ? Belleville, Ont.

At approximately 11:55 pm on May 27th officers were called to an Ann Street residence to investigate a report of a break and enter. Sometime between Friday evening and Sunday evening unknown person(s) pried open the front door to the home and stole a 51 inch LG television and an X-Box 360. The investigation is continuing.

Break and Enter ? Belleville, Ont.

At approximately 12:33 am on May 28th police were called to a Benjamin Street residence to investigate a report of a break and enter. Sometime between 11:30 pm and 12:30 am while the residents were in another room, unknown person(s) entered the home through an unlocked basement window and stole a 24 inch RCA LCD television, a Sony PS3 gaming system, and a Sony PS Vita. The investigation is continuing.
