Assault

Belleville, Ontario - On May 27, 2015 at 2:10pm, police responded to a call regarding an assault that had taken place on Bridge Street West near Dunbar.  Investigation revealed that a family dispute had taken place at this location and a female was assaulted and received minor injuries.   As a result of the investigation, a 23 old Belleville male was later arrested and charged with assault and is being held for a show cause hearing this date. 

Break and Enter and Assault

Belleville, Ontario – On May 27, 2015 at 8:20 pm, police responded to a possible impaired driver in the area of Haig Road.  Prior to police arrival, a 911 call was received that a male was smashing down an apartment door on Haig Road.  Police attended but the male suspect had fled the scene.  He was located a short time later and arrested for Assault, Break and Enter and Mischief.  The 53 year old Belleville male was later released on a PTA and OIC Undertaking.

Flight from Police, Dangerous Driving, Assault with a Weapon

Belleville, Ontario – On May 28, 2015 at 1:05 am, police responded to a residence on Point Anne in regards to a domestic disturbance.  Investigation revealed that a female assaulted her male partner with a baseball bat.  Earlier in the day, she had also driven her vehicle into the rear of another vehicle occupied by the same male partner and her two year old child at Old Hwy 2 and Point Anne.  While police were investigating the incident on Point Anne and the earlier motor vehicle collision, police observed the suspect vehicle travelling westbound on Hwy 2.  Police observed the driver turn the vehicle lights off approaching Haig Road and then the vehicle turned onto Haig.  Police activated emergency equipment but he female driver failed to stop.  The female driver lost control of the vehicle at the corner of Haig and Oakridge striking a tree.  Ambulance attended and the female was treated for minor injuries.  As a result of the police investigation, a 26 year old Belleville female was arrested and charged with Flight from Police, Assault with a Weapon, Dangerous Driving x 2 and Mischief and is being held for a show cause hearing.

Assault and Breach of Probation

Belleville, Ontario – On May 28, 2015 at 4:30 am, police responded to a residence on Benjamin Street in regards to a disturbance.  As a result of a police investigation, a 42 old Belleville female was arrested for Domestic Assault and Breach of Probation.  She is also being held for a show cause hearing.
