Break & Enter & Theft Under

Belleville, Ontario - On September 27, 2010, police responded to a Break & Enter in progress on Sidney Street at 11:45 a.m. Police observed entry had been gained by breaking a window in the rear door of the home. The two male suspects were described as wearing black hoodies. The suspects had been observed leaving the home prior to police arrival in a north direction.

The two suspects were arrested a short time later by police. Adam Brooks, 18 years old from the City of Belleville, was arrested and charged with one count each of Break & Enter and Theft Under $5000. Gary Switzer, 21 years old from the City of Belleville, was arrested and charged with one count each of Break & Enter, Breach of Probation and Theft Under $5000. Both males have been held in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing set for September 28, 2010.

Break & Enter(s)

Belleville, Ontario - On September 28, 2010, at 5:10 a.m. police received a report of a Break & Enter to a business on Station Street. Sometime over night suspects entered the business and set off several fire extinguishers within the building causing damage throughout. Nothing was stolen as a result of this entry and this incident is currently under investigation.

Possession of Stolen Property

Belleville, Ontario - On September 28, 2010, at 1:30 a.m. an officer on patrol observed two males on Cannifton Road. Both males were known to the officer and after further investigation one of the males was found to be on previous release conditions. As a result a 17 year old Belleville male was arrested and charged with one count of Fail to Comply. He was subsequently released with a court date in October. The name of the youth will not be released due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act

A second male, Jesse Scullion 18 years old from the City of Belleville, was found to be in Possession of Stolen Property and was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of Stolen Property, and four counts of Breach of Probation. Jesse Scullion was held in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing set for September 28, 2010.
