Robbery ? Belleville, Ont.

At approximately 1:40 pm on May 28th officers on routine patrol located the second suspect wanted in connection with a robbery at a Dundas Street East business on May 27th. At the time of the incident, a male victim had exited a business and two male youths had used force to try to steal items from him that he had just purchased. No weapons were used and the victim was not hurt. Officers located the two suspects shortly after receiving the report and a foot chase ensued with one suspect being caught. The second suspect was located in the Dundas Street East and was arrested without incident. A 16 year old Belleville youth faces charges of Robbery and Breach of Probation. He was held for a Show Cause Hearing on May 29th and his name can not be released under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Assault ? Belleville,Ont.

At approximately 7:15 pm officers were called to a disturbance on South John Street. During the altercation one male head butted another male causing minor injuries. A suspect was arrested at the scene and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was later released from custody on a Promise to Appear. Charged with one count of assault is Terry Godfrey, 28, of Belleville.
