Impaired Driver

 

Belleville, Ontario - On April 28th, 2014, at 3:15 p.m. an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Casey Road at Hwy 37. The driver had been drinking and failed a roadside screening test. During the search, a small amount of marijuana was seized.  Thomas McAvoy, 56 years of age, of Belleville, will appear in court on May 15th, 2014 on charges of "over 80 mgs and "possession of a controlled substance.

 

 

 

Disturbances

 

Belleville, Ontario On April 28th, 2014, at 9:30 p.m. several reports were received about an aggressive male stumbling in the area of College Street East at Prince of Wales Drive.  A 44 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.

 

 

On April 28th, 2014, at 10:45 p.m. police attended in the area of College Street East and Cannifton Road in relation to an intoxicated male.  A 53 year old Belleville man was located and arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.

 

Impaired Driver

 

Belleville, Ontario On April 24th, 2013, at 10:01 p.m. police received several complaints from motorists about an impaired driver in the area of the Bay Bridge.  The vehicle was located on Dundas Street, and a 20 year old Prince Edward County woman was arrested for Impaired Driving.  She will appear in Court on May 9th, 2013.

 

 

Break and enter

 

Belleville, Ontario On April 17th, 2013 at 5:15 p.m., police attended at a Henry Street residence in relation to a complaint of a break and enter. Unknown person(s) entered the residence between 8:00 a.m. on April 16th and 5:00 p.m. on April 17th.   Jewelry was taken as well as an oak Grandfather clock.  Also taken was a stained glass window.  Any information on this break and enter can be forwarded to the Belleville Police Service or Crimestoppers.
