Motor Vehicle Collisions

 

Belleville, Ont ? On 29 January 2009 Belleville Police have responded to numerous motor vehicle collisions throughout the day due to the heavy snowfall the last 24 hours including one involving an Ambulance.  Collisions involved property damages only and no injuries have been reported to Police.    

 

Smoke Free Ontario

 

Belleville, Ont., - On 29 January 2009 Belleville Police have laid a charge under the new Smoke Free Ontario Act.  A 41 year old woman was charged with Smoking in a Vehicle in the presence of a child under 16 years of age after being observed by Police.  

 

Liquor Licence Act

 

Belleville, Ont., - On 29 January 2009 Police responded to two incidents of Liquor Offences.  The first one police were called to a location in the north end of the City at 9:43 pm where 5 females between the ages of 16 and 17years were found to be intoxicated. One of the five young females was unconscious at the time of Police arrival and was transported to BGH via Ambulance for treatment.  All youths were charged with Consuming Alcohol Under 19 years of age and released into the custody of their parents.  

 

The second incident was at 10:45 pm and again a 16 year old female was taken into arrested and taken into custody for being Intoxicated and underage.  She was also turned over to her parents.  Both incidents were as a result of a Teen Dance at Little Texas.
