Traffic Enforcement

Belleville, ON – On 28 July 2018 at approximately 11:40 officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Dundas Street West.  A vehicle was observed to be travelling at an excessive speed which was confirmed to be 33 km/hr greater that the posted limit.  Upon stopping the vehicle officers noted signs of impairment.  The driver of this vehicle blew a “warn” on the ASD (approved screening device).  Subsequently the driver; a 40 year old Belleville male was issued a 3 day license suspension, a speeding ticket and the vehicle was towed. 



Belleville ON - On 29 July 2018 at 330 am officers on patrol observed a vehicle near the Bay Bridge weaving. The vehicle was stopped. The male was arrested for impaired driving. After providing 2 samples of breath the male was charged impaired driving and over 80 . Joao Sousa a 44 yr old male from Ameliasburg was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in August.
